Parent Teacher Conferences Fall 2017-2018

Posted in News & Announcements

Dear Parents,

We will be using the Online Scheduler to arrange our Parent Teacher Conference appointments for September 27th and September 28th this school year. This will provide a greater flexibility in scheduling appointments with our teachers.

You may begin scheduling on Wednesday, September 20th until Monday, September 25th. The appointments are available on a first-come, first serve basis. If you have not made an appointment by September 26th, teachers will pick a time for you and notify you by phone or email just prior to the conference dates.

If you have any questions, please call the school at 801-826-8650.

The Parent Letter and Instructions below will explain how to schedule your conference times.

Recognizing that strong schools are essential to strong communities, Canyons School District undertook an ambitious construction and renovation schedule in 2010 that has improved the learning environment for students in all corners of the District. Now, as we complete the 13th and final project, a remodel of Indian Hills Middle, we’re asking the community to consider a $283 million, tax-rate-neutral bond proposal that will allow us to continue the momentum we’ve built. The bond proposal will appear on the Nov. 7 2017 general election ballot. All of the bond money would be used to improve schools and would reach more than half the District, or 27 schools. Six schools would be rebuilt, one new school would be constructed to accommodate growth, and one school would be significantly remodeled. In addition, the bond would pay to remodel front offices at six elementary schools and to install windows and skylights to add natural light to 18 elementary schools. In all, more than 17,000 children would benefit from safe, modernized learning environments. Here's how the money would be spent:
