Bell Schedules

Bell Schedule

Students must be dropped off and picked up on time.
First Bell (school begins): 8:55 
Drop-off is between 8:35 – 8:55.
No drop-off before 8:35 is allowed. 
Students should wait outside behind the school.
Only students who are eating breakfast or arriving after 8:55 should enter through the front doors.
Tardy Bell: 9:00 
After the first bell at 8:55, students must enter through the front doors.
Once the tardy bell rings at 9:00, students must get a tardy slip at the office.
Dismissal Bell (M-TH): 3:30 
Pick-up is between 3:30 – 3:40. 
Students will be brought to the office after 3:40 and parents must park and come in.
Dismissal Bell (Fridays): 1:50 
Pick-up is between 1:50 – 2:00.
Students will be brought to the office after 2:00 and parents must park and come in.

Students will receive up to two hours worth of Brain Booster classes per week.  Lone Peak’s Brain Booster classes are Art, Library, Playworks, STEM, and Theatre.  These classes will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The days and times will vary according to grade level.

Art: The visual arts program is funded through the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Grant. Students will develop their understanding of grade level content through art.

Library: In library, students will learn to use the media center as a means of gathering information. In addition, students will continue to develop their love of literature and informational text.

Playworks: This program will support the development of safe and positive play on the playground.  Students are taught a variety of team building and cooperative learning games which can be implemented on the playground.    For more information visit  http://www.playworks.org/about .

STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math: Students will develop STEM skills based on the ISTE standards for students, including building an understanding of engineering through the use of Legos, computational thinking using Spheros, and other hands-on techniques.

Theatre: This class will help students build confidence, focus on inclusion, and develop their understanding of grade level content through theatre and public speaking.
