Canyons District requires an approved VOLUNTEER APPLICATION every new school year.
A VOLUNTEER is any adult 18 and older:
Presenting to students or interacting with students
(classrooms, holiday parties, recess, PTA activities, field trips, career day, etc.)
A VISITOR is any adult 18 and older:
Dining with their student in the cafeteria
Only observing a school-wide event, restricted to that location
(parent-teacher conferences, Principal’s Pride, Halloween parade, etc.)
All visitors and volunteers must check in through the main office and visibly wear the volunteer or visitor sticker. A confirmed appointment and approved volunteer application are required to enter a classroom during school hours.
When visiting or volunteering, you have a responsibility to keep student information confidential.
