    Lara Liu/Chair welcomed SCC members and reviewed the agenda:
    1. Welcome and approve minutes from March.
    2. Finalize Land Trust and TSSP Plans
    3. Promoting SCC
    4. Additional items?
  2. Approval of the minutes from March SCC meeting
    1. Motion to approve March SCC minutes by Lorie Langeland, seconded by Jennifer Willie. Council voted for: 5, against: 0
  3. Review and finalize current Land Trust and TSSP plans
    1. The following plans have been previously reviewed, revised and submitted: SNAP, Digital Citizenship Plan, PBIS Plan, Land Trust and TSSP. These plans are now waiting for Board approval. 
    2. Professional development has been scheduled for speaker Grace Dearborn on Conscious Classroom Management for August 17, 2023. 
  4. Promoting SCC
    1. The committee discussed and agreed to the following promotions for awareness and recruiting new members:
      1. Cinnamin Morton and Julie Schow will write a brief explanation of a parent and teacher perspective of involvement on the School Community Council. This will be included in the May school newsletter.
        1. Lara Liu will create a sign-up form for SCC members to run a table at Meet the Teacher in August.
      2. Lara Liu will speak at Back-to-School Night. SCC members will stand with her. 
      3. Tracy Stacy will include a parent survey in the May school newsletter to determine parent interest, barriers, times, etc.
  5. SCC Next Meeting
    1. Motion to cancel May SCC meeting by Lorie Langeland, seconded by Cinnamin Morton. Council voted for: 7, against: 0
    2. Next SCC meeting is TBA for 2023-2024 school year.
