Welcome Back
Ready for a Great New Year
Welcome back! We are so excited for a great new school year and we can’t wait to see the students! Many are most likely wondering what the plan is for the 2021-2022 school year. Lone Peak Elementary will be following the Canyons District plan which can be found here. Information has also been sent out by the district to families.
Lone Peak Elementary has also worked to create a safe environment under the guidelines. Our school plan can be found here or on our school website.
Below are other ways in which you can help us get this school year off to a great start.
1. Parking Lot (Pick Up and Drop Off)
Please remember that when orange cones are out, the parking lot is closed. We have many buses dropping students off and we are trying to get them to school safely. In general the lot is closed between 8:30 and 8:45.
2. Birthday & Party Food
We are not accepting food or drinks for birthday treats or parties. There are many food allergies and other medical issues and we would like to keep all of our students safe. Please feel free to send items which are not food or drink related if you wish to send in a birthday treat.
3. Water Bottles
Please send your students with water bottles each day. Currently we are not having students use drinking fountains and hydration is very important.
And so the adventure begins!

Friday, August 13th from 2-3 is our Meet the Teacher Event. Feel free to come by the school during that hour to meet your teacher and see the classroom.
In addition, the PTA will be set up in front of the school. They will have information about school PTA membership, School Spirit Wear and much, much more.
In the front foyer, there will be a table where you can indicate interest in joining SCC. We have three spots available right now. SCC helps the school set goals and determine how best to spend funds to help meet those goals.
Social Emotional Skills
We will be utilizing Morning Meetings and teaching students from Second Steps Social Emotional Curriculum. Each month, I will communicate to your our topic. This month our focus will be on The Big Three (Respect, Responsibility, Safety). We will teach students what The Big Three look like and sound like at school. You can support us by encouraging your students to use The Big Three in their interactions with others.
