Next Year Enrollment Steps (2024-2025)

Any student who is not currently attending Lone Peak Elementary must complete the enrollment process.
(This includes kindergarten students, transfer students, and new students who have been accepted on permit or into the dual immersion program.)

1. ENROLL ONLINE
   

   Upload all the REQUIRED DOCUMENTS  below to the enrollment application. (Exceptions for required forms will be made for McKinney-Vento students who are displaced or experiencing homelessness.) If all the documents have been received, you should receive an email confirmation with more school information within two business days (except for when we are on a school break). Please complete enrollment by April 5, 2024 if possible. 
   

   1. Student’s Birth Certificate
      Birth certificates can be printed in-person at most Utah Health Departments or requested online.
      
   2. Student’s Current Immunization Record (physician printout) OR Utah Exemption Training Certificate
   3. Proof of Residency OR Permit
      • If student lives INSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, Proof of Residency is required (Acceptable Documents – must show whole document with current address and date)
      • If student lives OUTSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, a Permit application is required unless the student has been accepted into the dual immersion program.
2. ATTEND ORIENTATION & MEET THE TEACHER

   Kindergarten Orientation
   (for incoming kindergarten parents and students)
   April 12, 2024, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

   Dual Immersion Parent Meeting
   (for parents of incoming 1st grade dual immersion students)
   April 19, 2024, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

   Meet the Teacher
   (all students)
   August 16, 2024, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
   *New students will be emailed their class placement by May 30, 2024.

3. BACK-TO-SCHOOL REGISTRATION
   Opens in August 2024
   This is different from the enrollment application and is required for every student, every school year. The guardian listed first in Skyward Family Access will need to complete this.
   
4. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN

The first day of school for all students will be Monday, August 19, 2024.

Dual Immersion

Students interested in the dual immersion program (Mandarin Chinese) who are entering 1st grade in the 2024-2025 school year can find more information or apply at http://dual.canyonsdistrict.org/. Students apply during their kindergarten year when the application window opens, usually in the fall.

Half-Day Kindergarten

All kindergarten classes in Canyons District are full-day. If you would prefer to have your child attend on a half-day schedule, please plan on meeting with our principal, Ms. Stacy, after Kindergarten Orientation to complete the process.
