Enrollment Steps (2024-2025)
Any student who is not currently attending Lone Peak Elementary must complete the enrollment process.
(This includes kindergarten students, transfer students, and new students who have been accepted on permit or into the dual immersion program.)
- ENROLL ONLINE
Upload all the REQUIRED DOCUMENTS below to the enrollment application. (Exceptions for required forms will be made for McKinney-Vento students who are displaced or experiencing homelessness.)
If all the documents have been received, you should receive an email confirmation with more school information within two business days (except for when we are on a school break).- Student’s Birth Certificate
Birth certificates can be printed in-person at most Utah Health Departments or requested online. - Student’s Current Immunization Record (physician printout) OR Utah Exemption Training Certificate
- Proof of Residency OR Permit
- If student lives INSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, Proof of Residency is required (Acceptable Documents – must show whole document with current address and date)
- If student lives OUTSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, a Permit application is required unless the student has been accepted into the dual immersion program.
- Student’s Birth Certificate
- COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTRATION
This is different from the enrollment application and is required for every student, every school year. The guardian listed first in Skyward Family Access will need to complete this. - COMPLETE THE VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
A Canyons District volunteer application must be completed every school year to enter classrooms, help with parties, field trips, presentations, school events, etc. - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Your student’s first day of school will be included in the enrollment email confirmation.
- Students wait outside behind the school between 8:35-8:55. Teachers pick up their classes at 8:55.
- You can set up an appointment to meet the teacher by email or come into the office on the first day of school between 8:30-8:45.
Dual Immersion
Students interested in the dual immersion program (Mandarin Chinese) who are entering 1st grade in the 2024-2025 school year can find more information or apply at http://dual.canyonsdistrict.org/. Students apply during their kindergarten year when the application window opens, usually in the fall.
Half-Day Kindergarten
All kindergarten classes in Canyons District are full-day. If you would prefer to have your child attend on a half-day schedule, please email the principal, Shad DeMill to complete the process.
