  1. Welcome
    1. Approval of last meeting’s minutes (10/12/20)-Zac moved to approve, Lara-2nd, all present approved
    2. Scribe for this meeting’s minutes-Cinnamin
  2. Finalize Digital Citizenship and School Safety Plan
    1. Safety concerns from last year
      1. Blacktop/crack seal
        1. Ryan Jakeman, Canyons Facility Director, met with Ms. Stacy to assess condition.
        2. This winter, the blacktop will be retarred
        3. Sealant will be applied to entire blacktop area later in 2021
        4. Safety procedures will be reviewed with teachers/staff to ensure student safety until work has been completed
      2. Online safety
        1. Filters in place for all district devices
        2. Ms. Stacy receives daily reports to ensure no innapropriate content is accessed
        3. Ms. Stacy will submit plan for approval
      3. Portable/window vandalism
        1. Ryan Jakeman, Canyons Facility Director, met with Ms. Stacy to to assess
        2. A 360-degree camera will be purchased to view portable windows
        3. Windows are currently boarded up until cameras are installed
        4. Portables are currently being used for storage, so leaving windows boarded is okay at this point
  3. Review School Data
    1. Math
      1. Progress monitoring for math is showing that students are making gains
    2. Student Attendance
      1. Term 1
        1. In-Person: 539
        2. Online: 72
        3. Parent-Led: 14
        4. Ten students changed their learning option
        5. Most students changed from online to in-person (Term 1 – Term 2)
  4. Living Leader
    1. Cell phone tower monies are appropriated to the district each year
      1. This year, $9800 was provided to the district
        1. Lone Peak receives between $2-3k each year. This year’s amount as approximately $2200. Cell tower funds are moved into Lone Peak’s Principal Discretionary Account
        2. In past years, the money has been used on things like books for students to take home. Some schools have used it for their marquee, etc.
      2. Michele Mickelsen presented the idea of using a portion of this money to focus on health/wellness for Lone Peak staff
        1. Each month there will be one health goal/focus (ex: increase water intake, more sleep, exercise, self-care)
        2. Partcipating staff would put their name in a drawing each month to win a prize
        3. The goal is to increase overall health
        4. Ms. Stacy thougth the $1,000 from cell tower fund would be an appropriate allocation
        5. Lara made the motion to approve $1,000 be put toward the health/wellness prizes for Lone Peak staff. Brooke-2nd, all present approved
        6. Michele Mickelsen will work through Mary regarding funding once prizes are identified
  5. PTA Update
    1. Chinese New Year Celebration
      1. The PTA is working on figuring out how to celebrate Chinese New Year this year with Covid-19
      2. The Fun Run raised $19,000
      3. This year’s charity event is still being determined
        1. One idea is the Toy Drive for foster children that has been initiated by Lone Peak Playworks Teacher
        2. Individuals or families can buy a toy for a foster child in Utah. The suggested amount per toy is $25. This opportunity is available whether it is chosen as the charity or not. The drop-off is in the teacher workroom.
  6. Next meeting will be in January 2021. No meeting in December.
