1.    Welcome

  1. Approval of last meeting’s minutes (11/12/19)

2.    Initial discussion of TSSP (Teacher Student Success Act – replaces CSIP) and LAND Trust Plan for upcoming school year

  1. 2018-2019: $50,000 on aides, chrome book carts, TSSP School counselor salary
  2. Principal Stacy gave description of what funds are currently used for and assigned the task of thinking about what SCC may want to use those funds for moving forward. Ideas included:
    1. Art teacher given 2 extra hours a week for project-based learning, we can increase Cassie’s hours for more project-based learningResearch other informational text programs
    2. More aides
    3. Technology “detox” social/ emotional curriculum that deals with technology over-use, handling anger and other emotions
    4. Could add a 5th brain booster. The 5th teacher could teach music
  3. Other ideas will be presented by members at next meeting.

3.    Discuss professional development expenditures needed to support goals 

  1. Principal Stacy gave update on current expenditures for substitutes for Professional Development. Suggestion was made to amend (see below):
    1. $1190 for subs has been spent so far
    2. $3810 left in budget for Curricular Team cost
    3. $1542.88 needed (moving money from equipment to professional developmentMotion to approve amendment to move $1,542.88 from Land Trust Equipment to Substitutes

4.    Discuss Child Access Routing Plan (SNAP)

  1. Areas of concern for district:

    1. Sidewalk for drop off to prevent students from walking in drop-off area
    2. Expand width of sidewalk and install fence to separate drop off from the fence
    3. Remove playground material from egress
    4. Continue cross guard
  2. Areas of concern for Draper City:

    1. Issue: Where Highland crosses Bear Mountain Drive, there is no crosswalk and very little signage.

    2. Across from Steeplechase on Highland Drive and Apple Orchard Lane: Need “get to ready to stop” sign near bus stops due to blind hill on the south side

5.    Discuss school report of safety drills & budget for current year plan

  1. December: Reviewed procedures on lock down and ESCAPE procedures
  2. January: Fire Drill using the DIR-S app
  3. Budget is on track for spending
    1. Over 40% of the budget has been spent
    2. $25,945.52 left in budget
    3. Technology budget has been spent
    4. $3,560.04 remaining in land trust for text book budget. Will use for National Geographic 

6.    Follow up discussion on playground safety concerns

  1. Plan approved for drainage repairs to upper playground and proceeding to the design phase for the waterfall and water retention issue. Principal Stacy will be contacted when the design is made, plan will be selected, and budgets will be created. Project is set for summer 2020.
