  1. Approve minutes from November meeting
    1. Motion to approve November minutes by Colleen Gobin, seconded by Mirielle Page.
      Council voted for: 8, against: 0
  2. School Safety Plan Input
    1. Reviewed videos on all the safety protocols in place at the district level.
      1. Evacuation, Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Run/Hide/Fight Protocol
    2. Reviewed school guardian program.
    3. Mr. DeMill will include an update about which drill is taking place for the month and the corresponding video resource in his monthly emails. 
    4. To access the School Safety Plan:
      1. District website -> community -> school community council -> school safety plan
    5. To include in the safety plan:
      1. Looking at safety on the school buses – cameras not always working on the buses. Is there a fail safe for if cameras go down or are in maintenance?
    6. Currently included in the safety plan:
      1. Playground and area not being fully fenced in and an area in the front. This is included in the safety concerns.
      2. Safe walking areas having crossing having crossing guards present during coming and going to school. Crossing area that was painted over on Hidden Valley and Lone Eagle that we would like a designated crossing area.
  3. 2025-26 TSSP and Land Trust Plan – final reports
    1. Submitting data from last year that includes goals with reading and math, the progress from winter to spring, and the interventions used to increase the progress.
    2. Motion to approve the final reports by Lorie Langeland, seconded by Janae Holland.

  4. 2026-27 TSSP and Land Trust Plan – planning ahead
    1. Current year’s TSSP Plan included:
      1. Increase hours for Instruction Technician in Drama and in student engagement in reading.
      2. Hire two Instructional Aides for math.
        1. $119,000 in TSSP spending
    2. Current Land Trust Plan included:
      1. Hire one Instructional Aide for classroom support in math.
      2. Prizes to motivate students that do not exceed $2 per student.
        1. $82,955 in Land Trust spending
    3. Discussed looking at spending for ESL students.
    4. Discussed ideas on how to support teachers from burnout.
    5. Mr. DeMill asked the SCC to think about the goals and our funding and how we would like to use the funding to support the school goals. 
  5. Update: PTA
    1. College Week is next week.
    2. Battle of the Books in February into March.
      1. Volunteers are needed! Sign-up was sent out.
