  1. Approve minutes from January meeting
    1. Motion to approve January minutes by Colleen Gobin, seconded by Lorie Langeland.
      Council voted for: 7, against: 0 (Cinnamin Morton absent for vote)
  2. School Safety Plan Discussion
    1. Mr. DeMill will get more information about what happens when a school bus’s camera is down and will bring information to next meeting.
  3. School Updates and Mid-Year Acadience Data
    1. Paige Martinez, Instructional Coach, presented on mid-year Acadience data.
      1. We want 80% or more of students to make typical or better progress in reading as measured by Acadience Pathways of Progress.
        1. 74% of students made typical or better progress.
      2. We want 75% or more students to make typical or better progress with RISE testing.
        1. Scores are overall improving for 4th and 5th graders.
      3. ELL Data-MLL
        1. 22 students at Lone Peak are MLL.
          1. 50% made typical or better progress as measured by Pathways of Progress on Acadience.
      4. Math Data (Pathways)
        1. 80% of students have made progress for Kindergarten.
        2. 71% of students have made progress for 1st grade.
        3. 88% of students have made progress for 2nd grade.
        4. 72% of students have made progress for 3rd grade.
        5. 33% of students have made progress for 4th grade.
        6. 40% of students have made progress for 5th grade.
          1. Paige Martinez is going to do coaching and other interventions to help with 4th and 5th graders. 
      5. Math Data-MLL
        1. 60% have made progress.
    2. Instructional assistants really help support progress on Pathways and RISE testing by working with students in smaller groups or allowing teachers to meet with struggling students. They also help with the Phonics Core program.
    3. Update on changes to DLI program. With a reduction in enrollment, it is possible that we will move to a one-teacher model instead of a two-teacher model in first grade next year.
  4. 2026-27 TSSP and Land Trust Plan – Updates
    1. We can amend how we allocate the number of instructional assistants to meet classroom needs due to potential changes made in legislation.
    2. We anticipate low costs in electronics for next year.
    3. Prioritize funding for brain booster teachers. 
  5. PTA Update
    1. Lunar New Year
    2. PTC-dinners set up for teachers at 5:15-6 p.m.
    3. Book Fair February 24th-25th
      1. Donuts in the morning on the 24th.
    4. March-Charity Event (Sandy Elementary)
      1. Bring food for the food pantry.
