Current Year Enrollment Steps (2023-2024)

Any student who is not currently attending Lone Peak Elementary must complete the enrollment process. (This includes kindergarten students, transfer students, and new students who have been accepted on permit or into the dual immersion program.)

1. ENROLL ONLINE
   Use this ENROLLMENT LINK to submit the enrollment application/required documents.
   • Guardians new to Canyons District should first select create a “Temporary Account for New Student Enrollment.”
   • Guardians with students already attending Canyons District should select the “New Student Enrollment” link and then log in with their existing Skyward Family Access credentials.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Upload all the REQUIRED DOCUMENTS below to the enrollment application. (Exceptions for required forms will be made for McKinney-Vento students who are displaced or experiencing homelessness.) If all the documents have been received, you should receive an email confirmation with more school information within two business days (except for when we are on a school break).

1. 1. Student’s Birth Certificate

      Birth certificates can be printed in-person at most Utah Health Departments or requested online.

   2. Student’s Current Immunization Record (physician printout) OR Utah Exemption Training Certificate

   3. Proof of Residency OR Permit
      If student lives INSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, Proof of Residency is required (Acceptable Documents – must show whole document with current address and date)
      If student lives OUTSIDE Lone Peak boundaries, a Permit application is required unless the student has been accepted into the dual immersion program.

2. FINAL STEP – BACK-TO-SCHOOL REGISTRATION
   Once you receive an email confirmation from the school that your enrollment application is approved, the final step is to complete Back-to-School Online Registration. This is different from the enrollment application in step 1 and is required for every student, every school year. The guardian listed first in Skyward Family Access will need to complete this.

Dual Immersion

Students interested in the dual immersion program (Mandarin Chinese) who are entering 1st grade in the 2023-2024 school year can find more information or apply at http://dual.canyonsdistrict.org/. Students apply during their kindergarten year when the application window opens, usually in the fall.

Half-Day Kindergarten

All kindergarten classes in Canyons District will be full-day starting in 2023-2024. Participation is not required. If you would prefer to have your child attend on a half-day schedule, you must email tracy.stacy@canyonsdistrict.org to complete the process.
