Dear Lone Peak Family,
The Lone Peak Community Council is looking for members. The School Community Council (SCC) consists of elected parents/guardians of students who attend the school, elected school employees, and the principal. All parents/guardians of students attending Lone Peak are encouraged to participate. The council prepares a plan that identifies the school’s greatest academic need(s). Plans are submitted on the Utah LAND Trust website. Local school boards approve the plans for implementation the following school year. The council receives an annual dividend from the permanent State School Fund every July to implement the school’s approved plan during the next school year. The Lone Peak Community council meets once a month on Mondays from 3:45-4:45. If you are interested in joining us, please complete the attached form and return it to Ms. Stacy by August 15th. If an election is required, it will be held on August 24th at Back to School Night.
