  3. SCC Training 2026-2027 Dates
    1. Council discussed to make sure all members can attend the required training.
  4. Calendar Meeting Dates for the Year
    1. Meetings will be held the first Tuesday of the month at 3:55 p.m. Below are the following dates:
      1. October 6th
      2. November 3rd
      3. December 1st
      4. January 5th
      5. February 2nd
      6. March 2nd
      7. April 13th
      8. May – SCC will discuss May date in January
    2. Motion to table the May meeting date and add it to the January 2027 agenda was made by Anthony Casapao and seconded by Zac Watne.

  5. Review Bylaws
    1. Everyone reviewed the bylaws, and there were no questions.
  6. Review Land Trust Goals for the Year
    1. Reviewed ELA-focused goals
      Plan of Expenditures:
      1. Increase hours for BTS visual arts teacher to provide integration in order to increase student engagement with content standards
        1. Land Trust $35,000
      2. Provide professional development and to use substitutes for professional development to assist in knowledge and strategies that support academic and behavioral skills (planning for more rigor, engagement and small group strategies and peer observations).
        1. Land Trust $3,000
      3. Hire two instructional assistants for classroom support to help with small groups, student engagement, and with student growth goals.
        1. Land Trust $20,000
      4. Increase hours for our instruction technician in drama to aid student engagement in the area of reading. 
        1. TSSP $21,000
      5. Administration and coach will provide professional development on purposeful planning for Tier 1 engagement, feedback loops, positive to corrective feedback, small group instruction, engagement, scaffolds, and behavior supports.
      6. Buy prizes not to exceed $2 per student to supply school store for motivation for students to be engaged in their learning.

      7. Hold family STEAM Night to engage parents (and the school community) in their student’s learning. The STEAM Night will be an opportunity for parents and students to come to an evening of activities that support student learning in science, math, art, and literacy, as well as provide resources for parents on how to support their child’s learning.
        1. TSSP $2,000
        2. Currently, this is scheduled for November 5, 2026.
      8. Provide an after-school intervention by teachers for identified students who need to increase their reading skills. Teachers will be compensated to provide the intervention sessions after school hours.

      1. Hire three instructional assistants for classroom support to help with student engagement and student growth goals.

      2. Hire one instructional assistant for classroom support to help with small groups, student engagement, and with student growth goals.
        1. Land Trust $12,000
      3. Provide an after-school intervention by teachers and staff for identified students who need to increase their math skills. Teachers will be compensated to provide the intervention sessions after school hours.
        1. TSSP $1,500
      4. Increase hours for social worker to support with social emotional needs so students will be able to engage in their learning.
        1. TSSP $30,000
      5. Increase the hours for our instruction technician teacher to help improve student motivation and learning through increased student engagement and involvement using our school-wide PBIS rewards system. 
        1. Land Trust $11,000
      6. Purchase PBIS Rewards software to increase student motivation for learning.
        1. Land Trust $2,000
      7. Add hours to our MTSS behavior assistant and hire one additional MTSS assistant to help support student behavior and engagement in order to increase student learning and engagement.

  7. Discuss/Vote on Cell Tower Budget
    1. $2,000-$3,000 a year
    2. $5,500 from carry over from previous years and now we have $8,799
    3. Principal DeMill would like to use up to $3,000 of this amount for teacher appreciation, teacher birthdays, student incentives, and Principal’s Pride recognitions.
      1. Motion to approve made by Colleen Gobin and seconded by Anthony Casapao.

  8. CSD DLI Information
    1. District is looking at possible solutions. Changes to the DLI program would not impact those already in the program. It would only affect incoming students.
