- Will need to ensure our SCC has full membership this year with some departing members
- Will not solicit school community for SCC members until fall of 2026
- Group discussed the need to inform the school community about what the SCC does, how it works, and expected time, etc.
- Discussed posting something on school’s Instagram page (run by PTA)

- Science Presentation/Project Update
- Group still interested in using one of the discussed ideas, leaning towards simple rockets (air powered)
- Would like to incorporate videos from professionals for additional learning – some ways to deliver include:
- Show video(s) during assembly
- Show video(s) in classrooms
- Have video(s) be available for families (if families are a part of the project)
- Timing: Easiest to incorporate this into STEAM Night next year
- Have more time to plan, directly connected to STEAM Night concepts
- Ownership: Concept could be built out by SCC and/or PTA. School administration could lead or see if a volunteer (or group) wants to take this on.

- Voting for PTA Board to occur on May 6 at 9 a.m. Lorie encouraged everyone who is part of PTA to attend.
- Field Day is coming up on May 27, need volunteers
- 5th Grade Graduation is on May 29, discussed getting a celebration sign on the front lawn
- [Impromptu Follow-Up Item] School Safety and Bullying Conversation
- Group discussed the possibility of surveying the community, specifically to gauge whether there is a need to provide more education to students about conflict resolutions and bullying. The council would like to get feedback from families to see if their child has experienced bullying or conflicts that haven’t been resolved.
- Several modalities and timing options considered
- Separate end-of-year survey, stand-alone survey, etc.
- Shad will reach out to district to see if they have something in-house that can be utilized.
